Get on the Costa Rica Real Estate Train

May 10, 2009 - Costa Rica real estate in Heredia just got better with the San Jose-Heredia rail line which is due to open at the end of this month. Costa Rica real estate brokers have high hopes for the train because it would make real estate properties for sale in Heredia more attractive to potential buyers.

The new railways is expected to make about 42 trips from San Jose to Heredia each day which would lighten the traffic during rush hours as well as make the commute easier to people going back and forth from Heredia to San Jose on a regular basis.

The train will make 2 stops between San Jose and Heredia and the fair is expected to be 350 colons according to the Authoridad Reguladora de Servicios Publicos.

The number of passengers expected to use the train for the first few months is 94,000 persons per month and are expected to increase afterwards once people get used to the idea of having a rail line going back and forth from San Jose to Heredia.

According to Rosario of TicoRealtyCR.com, real estate of homes in Heredia have taken a drastic reduction in prices. Hopefully, the opening of the new rail line will help level the prices since access to San Jose will now become easier and faster.

Costa Rica under the President Arias regime has been working very hard to improve the infrastructure of the country to improve the general welfare of the country and to bring in a larger influx of tourist.

This hard work will soon pay off making real estate in Costa Rica very profitable as it once was a few years ago.

In the past few months, the Costa Rica real estate industry has been severely affected in terms of real estate sales. Even though in the United States, people are starting to buy homes again, Costa Rica will probably have to wait a few more months before this trend hits.

In the meanwhile, real estate prices in Costa Rica are still going down and are not expected to level out until 2010.

Heredia is the smallest of Costa Rica's provinces and is undergoing a rapid process of industrialization. Located only 10 kilometers from San Jose it is fast becoming a prime living location for many due to its family dominated political and social life.
